Everyone enters their date of birth when they join. Parklan Palooza is for ages 13 and up — we don't offer accounts for children under 13. From there, the site automatically gives each person the right experience.

Built for families, not for strangers.
Every Parklan Palooza server is private and invite-only. There is no public directory, no way to stumble in, and no algorithm putting your kid in front of anyone. One adult owns each server and is accountable for who is in it.
An adult is responsible for every server.
Only someone 18 or over can create a server, and they accept written responsibility for it - supervising members under 18, reviewing who is in it, and acting when something goes wrong. That acceptance is recorded and dated.
Nobody gets in without an invitation.
Servers are invite-only. The owner decides who joins. There is no request-to-join, no search, no discovery.
Anyone can block, and anyone can report.
A member can quietly stop another member from private messaging them, in both directions, without that person being told. They can also report any message or any member to the adult who runs the server - and the message they are reporting is attached automatically, so it cannot be deleted after the fact.
Nothing gets erased.
Removed messages are hidden, not destroyed. Every block, report and removal is written to a permanent record that the server's owner can review - and that nobody, including the owner, can edit or delete.
A report does not sit unseen.
When a member files a report, the adult who runs that server is told. If the report is about the owner, it goes to Parklan Palooza instead and the owner is never told about it.
Under 13s cannot create an account. That is a hard rule, enforced when the account is made.
